CHAMAN (Syed Sardar Mohammad Khondai): A key meeting of the District Development Committee (DDC) was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Chaman under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Habib Ahmed Bangulzai to review Chaman Development Projects and public welfare initiatives.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Pakistan Army, civil administration and relevant government departments. Officials reviewed ongoing development schemes across the district, the performance of government institutions and matters related to public welfare.
Departmental officers briefed the Deputy Commissioner on their ongoing projects and assigned targets. Particular attention was given to Chaman Development Projects under BSDI Phase-III, including their progress, construction quality and expected completion timelines.
The meeting also reviewed road construction and repair work, drainage schemes and other basic civic facilities in Chaman city and surrounding areas. Officials further discussed the city’s beautification, cleanliness campaign, educational institutions, health department and municipal services.
Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Habib Ahmed Bangulzai stressed the importance of effective coordination and mutual liaison among government institutions for the timely resolution of public issues.
He directed all concerned departments to ensure the use of quality construction materials in development schemes and complete projects within the stipulated timelines. He also emphasized the need for close monitoring of ongoing Chaman Development Projects.
The Deputy Commissioner further directed officials to give special attention to cleanliness, beautification and improvement of basic civic facilities in the city.
He said concerted efforts should be made to transform Chaman into a clean, attractive and well-facilitated city while ensuring that development projects deliver maximum benefit to the public.
